Have you ever gotten that feeling where you do not know where you belong? You have no clue who values you and cares about you. Life is just a rainy cloud, you cry every day, all day. You are not excited by life and are not motivated to do anything. I am currently overwhelmed with this feeling.
Life can be so miserable, especially when you give a lot of yourself to others and receive nothing in return. I am experiencing what it is like to feel empty, to have the desire to give up, to not feel loved or considered enough. I have been battling with these feelings for quite a long time now, and it is hard, it is so hard. It hurts… a lot.
I know it is festivities time, Christmas is coming soon and we are supposed to enjoy this time with the people we love. But how can you enjoy that when deep down you are really unhappy, or you are not sure of what you are feeling or are not sure of yourself at all?
Life can be very complicated sometimes; we go through a range of emotions. It is like a rollercoaster, we go from the top to the bottom, from the sky to the ground, it is tiring. One thing I can say for sure is that it is okay to feel that way, it is okay to feel down, it is okay to be unmotivated, and it is okay to be confused by our feelings. It is okay to be SAD. Most of the time we try to hide it, we try to act like everything is alright, like we are totally happy and everything is great in the world when in fact it is not.
I get better when I talk, in any way possible. It can be by writing, speaking, painting, or drawing. The only way to be heard is to talk, communicate our feelings, and communicate our despairs, our fears, and our regrets. I wish for all of you to be understood, to be listened to, to be taken care of and to be taken into account, to be considered, to be loved. But most importantly, I wish you to feel alive again, to feel the sunshine on our face and in our bones.
We are in this together, none of us are alone in this world, we are walking through the path of healing together, holding hands. I wish every one of you a Merry Christmas; the joy of the day is the joy of the heart.
